BIG
Today is the BIG day for Apple's announcements about the new PowerMac and PowerBook G3's and the new way of doing business. Apple's main site has a full page announcement stating "Think different. Really different." and to return at noon PST (3pm EST) to find out how different. There are pictures of a cookie, shopping cart and phillips-head screw driver to provide a hint that doesn't take a hieroglyphics scientist to figure out (Cookie=MagicCookie browser file or "Online", shopping cart="Shopping" and screw driver="Built-to-your-specs"). It will probably announce "http://store.apple.com" that I first saw mentioned Friday on MacOS Rumors. Here's the URL that popped up over the "Not Found" message when I tried to access "http://store.apple.com" at 10:45p last night -- "http://store.apple.com/1-800-795-1000/WebObjects/AppleStore". The telephone number is supposed to be Apple's direct sales line.
