domain name very close

Reader Earl Britt sent me a warning regarding a domain name very close to that used by The Chip Merchant of San Diego, CA. I've used TCM for a couple of years and have found their RAM/VRAM/cache chips to be trouble-free and their prices to be very competitive. Macs Only! has for nearly two years highly recommended TCM as a quality retailer, snail mail or online. TCM's domain name is "www.thechipmerchant.com". This other outfit's domain name is "www.chipmerchant.com", i.e. without the "the". According to Earl's investigation, the companies behind the "chipmerchant" domain appear to be Performance Memory World (San Jose, CA), Memory World (also San Jose, CA) and Performance Electronic Package Services (San Marcos, CA).
