FWB posted CD-ROM ToolKit Patch for 68K Macs:

"We have discovered a problem using CD-ROM ToolKit under Mac OS 8 on some 68040 based Macs. This affects 68040 machines only, not PowerPCs. The problem appears in all versions of CD-ROM ToolKit at least as far back as version 1.5.

The symptoms of this problem are that during Finder navigation, the Finder will quit unexpectedly. It usually restarts itself, but sometimes hangs or enters into a continuous quit-restart cycle. You do not have to be navigating a CD for this to happen; the problem will also occur when a disc in a drive controlled by CD-ROM ToolKit is mounted on the desktop."
