Mac OS 8 Endless Restart Problem

Mac OS 8 Endless Restart Problem: I noticed once again that this problem has appeared on Apple's Technical Support Online discussion pages. If Mac OS 8 is installed on a PowerPC Mac, any program that installs ObjectSupportLib extension, like Netscape Communicator, can result in this problem after installation and restart, i.e. the OS loads until the desktop appears then quits and begins to restart over and over again. This problem is particularly prevalent on PowerBook 3400's but can occur on almost any Mac or clone. It is resolved by deleting the ObjectSupportLib file.
