NEWS.COM also reported that Microsoft's Internet Explorer has gained nearly a 40% market share. Well, MS is giving IE away and using other leverage so does anyone expect anything else? MSIE is a good product so when are they going to (or be forced to) stand up and fight fair?

There was an interesting article in yesterday's tree-parts version of The Washinton Post about 5 firms (IBM, Sun, Netscape, Novell and Oracle) teaming up against Microsoft to try to force industry standards in a number of areas. Thanks to Bob Burdeau here is the URL for the electronic version.
