PowerBase and UMAX "C-series" owners

In addition to PowerLogix, PowerBase and UMAX "C-series" owners will have a G3 card option from NEWERtech: Eric W. Dahlinger, wrote "Newer Technology is developing a MAXpowr G3 PowerPC 750 upgrade for the Power Computing PowerBase (all speeds) called MAXpowr G3 PowerBase and another for the UMAX C500 and C600 computers called MAXpowr G3 ZIF. These will not ship until the January, 1998 time frame. The estimated street price for these upgrades is near $1,000. Both of these upgrades feature a 250MHz PowerPC 750 processor with 512K of backside cache on a 125MHz bus (2:1 ratio). The current MAXpowr G3 250/512K/125 upgrade has a new lower estimated street price of $1,131. The MAXpowr G3 266/11MB/177 price has not changed."
