Reader Bob Crites noted that Macromedia's new Shockwave is listed as r5 (release 5?) on the site but when installed Get Info says it is Director 6.0.1r117. While he reported having difficulty with his installation in MSIE 3.01a, I've had no problems with Netscape Communicator 4.03, Navigator 3.04 or Internet Explorer 3.01.

I have received a number of emails asking about the most current versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer.
