Ed. Note -- This week Macs Only! is supposed to be switching over to ISDN service ordered over three weeks ago from Bell Atlantic. I say "supposed" because the outside digital line gets hooked up on Wednesday, wiping out the present analog data line, and the inside work is scheduled for Friday but I haven't yet received the terminal adapter, an Adtran Express XRT for $199.95 and one of the few Bell Atlantic offers that work with Macs. A call to Bell Atlantic late last week indicated that they are on backorder! This process could result in some disruption of Macs Only! later in the week or early next week but I hope not. A complete description of this process and the difference in web surfing that ISDN brings will appear in a subsequent Macs Only! issue.
