Reader John Culp has a particular problem with Virtual PC and his Netware network:
"I've encountered problems with getting VPC/Win95 online on a NetWare network on my 6400/180 with MacOS 8.0 and an Asante' PCI Ethernet card. Initially, I couldn't connect to _anything_ with VPC on this machine, not to the Net through Ethernet, the Net through a modem, or the Netware network. Upgrading to VPC 1.0.1 fixed the problem with TCP/IP networking, but Netware still won't work. I've spent many hours with our department's PC manager and Connectix tech reps, with no solution in sight. I've reinstalled the PC Netware software several times, with 3 different versions including the latest straight from Novell's Web site. No difference. I can connect fine from the Mac side."
