Ed. Note

As forecast, CompuServe revealed its web-based strategy yesterday in an article carried by NEWS.COM. CompuServe will focus on businesses and professionals that are web-savvy as opposed, I suppose, to the mass market of newbies and light "recreational" web users. They expect to complete the service by the end of the year. No word on how the AOL acquisition of CompuServe will affect these plans. [Ed. Note -- I began using CompuServe's flate rate service (unlimited proprietary content and internet access) at $24.95 at the beginning of October and have now used it in several cities across the USA, receiving excellent service.]
