real hardball

Apple, under Steve Jobs' direction, continues to play real hardball with the Mac cloners over future Mac OS licensing issue. While these negotiations are over really big money and "not religion" (as Steve Jobs has been reported as saying), you may wish to write your opinion directly to Apple's leadership (if they are reading this email) as suggested by MacInTouch in lieu of or in addition to the various online petitions. An Apple without Mac cloners is not an Apple that I will be as happy with. An Apple that competes well with the Mac clones on a level playing field is my vision. There is a real fine line between those two outcomes--let's see what this week brings.
