Why should the average Mac web'er care?

According to several web sites, including MacInTouch (8/18) and MRP (8/18), the Crack-a-Mac weakpoint was in Lasso, an application that connects databases to web sites. Fortunately, a security patch for Lasso has already been posted by Blue World. Why should the average Mac web'er care? Well, a lot of your personal data resides on such servers and many more that are much, much more vulnerable. Even more of your personal data will reside on these "simple" servers in the future.
