FLASH!

Very late last night Macs Only! received information indicating that PowerLogix, maker of the PowerForce line of G3 CPU cards, had received a temporary restraining order (TRO) against Total Impact restricting the manufacture, sale or distribution of products containing PowerLogix's proprietary G3 designs or information on them. Similar information was posted by PowerWatch and Accelerate Your Mac earlier today. The products that would appear to be affected include the:

• Total Impact PowerUP 750 and
• Mactell PowerJolt G3.

Products not affected by the TRO are the:

• PowerLogix PowerForce G3,
• Interex MACHSpeed G3 and
• NewerTECH's MAXpowr G3.

Macs Only! requested a copy of the TRO from PowerLogix and has requested comments from Total Impact.

Dana Baggett reported that Apple Memory Guide 2-98 and Apple Printing Utility 2.2 are listed at Apple's software update site but they were not on the servers for download at 1:30p on 1/31.
