IBM's PowerPC running at 300 MHz will be officially announced and a 400 MHz copper (rather than aluminum) version will be demoed in a Mac at Seybold/Wired next week by Steve Jobs according to NEWS.COM. The article also mention's Fry's Electronics opening an Apple store-in-a-store in Sunnyvale. Another "regional" chain, MicroCenter, pioneered the excellent concept. [Thanks Dana Baggett]
