Akihabara Feedback

from Brian Haigh,

"Just read your article on Akihabara, and thought I'd pass along a tip for anyone looking to buy over here (I've been living in Tokyo for the past 4 years, and am a frequent visitor to Akihabara's shops).

First off, for the best prices, go to Akibakan--they have 3 outlets near each other with a map somewhere at http://www.akibakan.com [It's the 10K pdf file linked at the top center of the page--Bill]. They also stock US models of Macs, for people living (or moving) here.

Also, you probably saw T-Zone on the main street of Akihabara...their Mac store is pretty decent (7 floors)...there is also a T-Zone outlet store behind it a couple blocks (under the train tracks)...mostly PC stuff, but some Mac-compatible gear as well--this tends to be the discontinued items.

Oh, and Laox--great for browsing, but the prices are terrible!"
