B&W G3 Owners. Check Your RAM!

From PowerLogix's Robin Sharp, "PowerLogix yesterday issued an alert for Blue & White owners who are seeking to upgrade the memory in their systems. In accordance with Apple's recent tech note, owners of the Yosemite (B&W) G3 PowerMacs should not be using memory other than PC100 modules that meet Apple's spec. Upgrading with nonstandard SDRAM modules can cause stability problems which can reveal themselves after upgrading the processor. "We determined that modules not built to the Apple recommended PC100 specification can cause problems in some machines. When they were replaced with spec modules, the problems disappeared," said Mark Schmidt, PowerLogix Technical Support Manager.
