gPort Works In PowerMac G4/400 "Yikes"

according to Griffin Technology. The gPort is an inexpensive ($49) Apple serial port that connects in place of the internal modem on Blue & White G3 and Yikes G4 (Yosemite board) PowerMacs. According to Griffin Technology's Jason Litchford they will be testing the gPort in Sawtooth PowerMac G4s as soon as they are available. From what I have seen in photos of the motherboard, the Sawtooth board modem connector appears to be located further from the external port than on the Yosemite board requiring a longer cable at a minimum. Griffin Technology will make the longer cable available to gPort owners if that is all that is needed. Macs Only! previously favorably reviewed the gPort.
