was confirmed by Griffin Technology support to reader Randy Debler. "We have just recently confirmed a problem with the iPort control panel and Mac OS 8.6, which indeed renders the infrared unusable. The engineers are looking into a fix [...] but I don't have a timframe for when it will be available."
