I Visited Micro Center (Fairfax, VA) Yesterday

to check out its 20th Anniversary 20% off sale. I had hoped that a $149 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 AGP graphics card for my Power Mac G4/400/Sawtooth was included in the sale--no luck. Not everything is on sale. Most CPUs, monitors and all software titles are. Mac OS 9 is $51.99. Apple computers, including G4s, iMacs and iBooks, go on sale Sunday only but they were dealing on open box Macs as early as yesterday. Apple's Studio 15" Flat Panel monitor (B&W) was available for $1040 and a ViewSonic 15" Flat Panel monitor was $779 after an additional $100 factory rebate. If one is near, it's worth a visit especially if you need a big ticket item.
