iBook Operating Temperature
I felt the bottoms and wrist rest areas of several iBooks that had been on all day. The bottoms were warm but not hot like my 2400c nor a PowerBook G3 Series. CPU generated heat does not appear to be a problem with the iBook.
Macworld--Virtual PC version 3.0, one of my favorite Mac applications, was demoed by Connectix. The key new features are support for USB devices, Sound Blaster 16 multimedia support, and the elimination of the need for two IP addresses, one for the Mac side and one for VPC, for TCP/IP networks. Only one IP address will be needed for the TCP/IP network in VPC version 3.0. VPC 3.0 is expected to begin shipping in late September. An upgrade will cost $45.
