iMacs In The Air
"My recent flights on US Airways MetroJet prompted me to leaf through the US Airways Selections catalog in the seat pocket in front of me. Much to my delight, I found an iMac prominently pictured on the Contents page 3 which served to illustrate the web page for SkyMall, Inc. The circulation is huge. The publication "...is printed four times a year. SkyMall distributes approximately 1,500,000 copies per month, reaching over 1,000,000 passengers each day."
iMacs have their own full page adv't on page 165. "Only $1,199. Prices may drop by the time of publication so call for the best price guarantee." iMacs are available by telephone order only. Standard delivery, handling and processing charges are $18.95 for orders over $200. according to the catalog. Sales tax does apply.
Two SkyMall policies that may apply to iMac purchases make it worth considering as a source:
Best price guarantee. "... if you find an identical new product advertised for less within 30 days of the receipt of order, just send us the ad and we will refund the difference."
Satisfaction guarantee. "If for any reason your order does not meet your expectations, return it with the invoice within 60 days for a prompt refund or exchange."
Both policies seem better at face value than comparable ones at The Apple Store." [One should be able to cash in on the iMacs offered since they are the discontinued 266's which are now less than $1000 many places.--Bill]
