Mac OS 8.6 CDs Arriving

From Dana Baggett, "You may recall that I mentioned last night that I hadn't received my Mac OS 8.6 CD yet, and hoped that by so noting I'd invoke Murphy's Law (meaning that I'd be proven wrong and it would come today). Little did I know how prophetic I would be. Judy got around this AM to mentioning that a padded envelope had been delivered yesterday by Airborne. Yup. My 8.6 CD was in the house when I said it hadn't been received. Incidentally, I mailed my paperwork using a credit card as a method of payment on May 11. The CD was mailed by Apple's contractor on 6/2. It was supposed to have been delivered on 6/4 according to the package. Not bad turnaround since the form said six to eight weeks. The order form quoted $19.95 S+H plus sales tax but the invoice did not include sales tax. That is correct under Maine tax law. Shipping/handling are services and are not subject to taxation. (Nonetheless, I did get charged sales tax when I got the Mac OS 8.5 CD.) "
