PowerPrint/Virtual PC/Epson Printer Issue
mentioned Friday. From Infowave's Peter Dombowsky, "I checked it out a little and found that you must use one of the two drivers included with VPC. These drivers are a LaserWriter II driver and an Epson ESC/P2 driver. I assume the LaserWriter driver provides PostScript data and the Epson driver provides non-PostScript data. I downloaded the LaserJet 1100 driver but it didn't work. Connectix must have done something to the "Epson" driver to make it behave differently (i.e spool a file to the Mac system in the format of the Chooser selected driver). Anyway, with the Epson driver we can get up to 360x360 resolution in b&w and color." [I was able to confirm this with VPC and my Epson Stylus Color 500 using PowerPrint USB.--Bill]
