Apple says, "If your (blue and white) Power Macintosh G3 or Macintosh Server G3 came with a single channel Ultra2 low voltage differential (LVD) SCSI card, run the '2940U2B v1.2 Flash Utility' to install updated firmware on the card to increase performance and reduce compatibility issues when using large files."
