Web Piracy Conviction

of a University of Oregon engineering student was reported on p. A3 of this morning's San Diego Union-Tribune citing an AP story. The student pled guilty for the first conviction under the No Electronic Theft Act of 1997. He had posted copyrighted software, music and movies for download by others and the FBI was tipped off by the university. News.Com also has an article on the case.
