AllAdvantage for the Mac is Out

AllAdvantage is a free service that pays its users to see banner ads in a small floating window at the bottom of the screen. The software has been available for about a year and a half on Windows PC's and was just released today for Mac's. The software can be downloaded here. This is a real service, not a scam. I've already received 2 cheques from them, in the past few months that I've been using it on my old PC. It takes a looong time to earn $20 cheque, but its pretty good for doing nothing but seeing some ads (about half an inch tall on a 17" monitor)."

Spotlight--Mac Components Engineered Recently I had the chance to visit with Arnie Ramirez and Kevin Yuhas of Mac Components Engineered (MCE) in Irvine, California. MCE has also branched out with a variety of PowerBook-related accessories for sale through their on line store. MCE sells AC adapters, carry cases, G3 CPU upgrades and Japanese-made translucent keyboards for the PowerBook 2400c. Installation and repair is also available.

MCE also discovered how to enable 32-bit CardBus in the PCMCIA slots of most PowerBook 2400s, 3400s and original G3s. You can get your PowerBook modified by MCE to take USB and FireWire PC cards.

Today MCE is the only company to custom configure new PowerBook and iBook computer systems to meet the requirements of today's mobile professionals. These configurations are approved by Apple so that they do not void the factory warranty.
