Asante Announces New 16-Port Switch

From Rene Agredano, "Asante Technologies, Inc. today announced the release of FriendlyNET FS5016, a 16-port switch with dedicated network bandwidth of 100 Mbps per port, or 200 Mbps in full duplex mode. At $21 per port (estimated street price), the FriendlyNET FS5016 is the lowest cost-per-port of any ?Asante 10/100 switch. Both FriendlyNET 16-port 10/100 hubs and switches are now available:

- FriendlyNET FH316 16-port 10/100 Fast Ethernet hub 99-00639-01, with a $189 estimated street price in North America (NAESP).
- FriendlyNET FS5016 16-port 10/100 Fast Ethernet switch 99-00640-01, with a $339 NAESP."
