Automatic Update Software v1.2 Control Panel

for Mac OS 9 is available by the Software Update control panel of Mac OS 9 but not yet by download from Apple's server.

From Dana Baggett, "I ran Software Update (v.1.1.3) just a few minutes ago from within mac OS 9.0.4. It found Software Update 1.2, downloaded and installed it. I now have a new Software Update engine in my Mac OS 9 Extensions folder and a new Software Update file folder in Application Support in my Mac OS 9 System folder with a Software Restore V.2.0.6 Application and an Installer Engine application. Haven't a clue what those are for. I booted up in Mac OS X and ran Software Update 1.0. and got 'No updates are needed'."
