Get the Most out of Sears Discounts
From Bill Jensen, "Bill, as you know, Sears has been a source of some of my better deals.
Although their normal price is usually above standard retail, they normally
discount their returned items based on the length of time on "clearance".
In addition, today and tomorrow they have their 10% promotion. I have been
able, in the past, to have multiple 10% discounts as Sears has these sales
within 30 days of each other often leading up to the holidays. At some
point they say "no" but it depends on the store and the sales personnel.
So, one may find some "deals" if one works at it. As of last week, they (Fairfax, VA) had the blueberry DV for $1K, which was overpriced for a new discontinued item, but if a store has the newer models coming in, someone may see different pricing. And of course, the real opportunity as I mentioned above is on a returned item that is discounted, and then the 10% sale applies on top of that."
