Mac Copper Gigabit Ethernet Adapters Now Under $250

From an Asante press release, "Asante Technologies, Inc. and National Semiconductor are pleased to announce the preview of the next generation of 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit adapters at Comdex in booth L3005. The Asante FriendlyNET GigaNIX 1000TPC will be the first Gigabit Ethernet adapter priced less than $150 [Windows & Linux]. The FriendlyNET GigaNIX adapter family includes two models that will be available in December 2000:

FriendlyNET GigaNIX 1000TPC -- $149 North American Estimated Street Price (NA-ESP). Drivers for Windows 98/NT/2000 Professional and Linux.

FriendlyNET GigaNIX 1000TA $249 NA-ESP. Drivers for Mac OS, Windows 98/NT/2000 Professional and Linux."
