MAXpowr G3 Driver v2.0.4 Reader Suggestions

In response to yesterday's post, I received several emails with two suggestions:

MAXpowr 2.0.4 and Mac OS 9.0--Works with cold boots (start up) only. Restarts (warm boot) result in freezes. [Steve Jacobs] However, Thomas Koons reported that v2.0.4 allowed his 6100 to warm boot as well.

MAXpowr 2.0.4 and Mac OS 9.0.4--Cold boot freezes so cold boot (start up) with another drive/partition running Mac OS 8.x/MAXpowr v1.0.3, reset Startup Disk to volume with Mac OS 9.0.4/MAXpowr v2.0.4 and warm boot (restart). [Jeff Leigh]

 I have not tried either so I can't confirm that the suggestions work on my 7100 but I think I'll stick with Mac OS 8.6 until Newer Technology gets it right.
