MAXpowr G3/G4 v2.0.4 Doesn't Work

on my 7100/G3 when running Mac OS 9.0.4, i.e. a freeze occurs at start up. Newer Technology's v2.0.4 Installer of G3/G4 drivers for MAXpowr CPU cards came out last Thursday and I just got a chance to try it. I have a MAXpowr G3 PDS CPU upgrade in my 7100/80 and have been running Mac OS 8.6 because the previous extension v1.0.3 causes a start up freeze with Mac OS 9. Newer first released v1.1b4 for Mac OS 9 and then v2.0.3 and v2.0.4 in rapid succession for Mac OS 9.0.4. On my 7100, v1.1b4 works occasionally with Mac OS 9 but causes a startup freeze every time with Mac OS 9.0.4. Unfortunately, both v2.0.3 and 2.0.4 also cause a start up freeze with 9.0.4. Disabling the v2.0.4 extension, as has been suggested elsewhere, allows a start up but the G3 CPU is not enabled. Attempting to access the MAXpowr control panel gives an error message stating that it doesn't work with the 7100. Back to 8.6.
