Montgomery County, MD, Proposes to Drop Macs?

From a reader who wishes to remain anonymous, "At a quickly scheduled meeting yesterday (Monday) morning, Montgomery County, Maryland Public schools proposed removing all 47,000 Macs from their system because of incompatibilities with their new attendance/grade/tracking system, and replacing them with PC's. If I was a MD/MoCo taxpayer, I'd be apoplectic; however, as a Mac user, I'm just furious!" [While still unconfirmed, this is exactly the kind of lamebrained decision that the Microsoft monopoly engenders. Here is the Board of Education's web site and an email address to provide a calm, reasoned statement--Bill]
