Napster Shut Down

Judge Marilyn Patel issued an injunction late yesterday that stops Napster from "...copying or assisting or enabling or contributing to the copy or duplication of all copyrighted songs and musical compositions of which the plaintiffs hold rights..." according to the CNet article. The industry's lawyers successfully argued irreparable harm in the months leading up to the trial and a likelihood of winning the suit on its merits. It's now an uphill battle for Napster attorney David Boies of DOJ vs Microsoft fame.
