NAV 6.0.2 by Live Update

The updater is available on line from Symantec according to Dana Baggett. From the ReadMe file:

"WHAT'S NEW AND CHANGED IN NORTON ANTIVIRUS FOR MACINTOSH 6.0.2

"- Updated the Operating System on the CD to Mac OS 9.0.4. Mac OS 9.0.4 is required to boot the Mac models released at Macworld Tokyo in February 2000. Specifically, these models are the graphite iBook Special Edition, the 500 MHz G4 desktop and the 500 MHz PowerBook. This CD will boot any Macintosh that can be booted by Mac OS 9.0.4.

- Resolved a crash at startup under OS 9.0.2 and 9.0.3 if 'Bypass File System' was selected in the Prevention preferences.

- Resolved an issue where Location Manager failed to automatically change AppleTalk settings if Auto-Protect was installed.

- Improved Safe Zone scanning."

Dana had difficulty getting 6.0.2 to install over 6.0.1 using Live Update. He had updated 6.0 to 6.0.1 using Live Update but he didn't have the 6.0 CD since he got 6.0 as a download. His workaround is to reinstall 6.0 from the prior download and then use Live Update to get 6.0.2 and Live Update 1.5.1. According to MacFixIt, Norton Utilities v5.0.3 is also available.
