The Next Major Apple Event---WWDC

Interested in the real skinny on Apple's next generation operating system, Mac OS X? Well, Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference, May 15-19, is just the place to find out the latest. Register early and save a bunch of money.

Mac OS X's introduction was featured at last year's WWDC with the first developer release. Everyone in attendance got a copy. With the commercial release of Mac OS X scheduled for later this year, WWDC 2000 will have a heavy focus on the new OS, including, among other things, technical sessions on Carbon, Cocoa, Quartz, and the newly introduced user interface dubbed Aqua.

Another exciting event of WWDC 99 was the giveaway of 50 newly released PowerBook G3s to WWDC attendees. While we don't know if Apple will repeat this highly popular hardware giveaway, we do know it's planning a huge door prize extravaganza for attendees. Apple promises that this year's extravaganza will be much bigger than last year's. Check it out!
