according to Bill Jensen. Micro Center is taking orders for 200-500 of the $499 iMacs of those allocated by Apple to the Washington DC, New York City areas. Micro Center requires a $50 deposit. The $499 iMacs have a 400 MHz G3 CPU, 20 GB hard drive and slot-loading CD ROM.
