Adaptec Released New Beta Mac OS X Drivers

for their SCSI controller cards. These drivers, the second beta release from Adaptec, are for the following Adaptec cards:

PowerDomain 39160 (driver 1.0b6)

PowerDomain 29160/29160N (driver 1.0b6)

AVA-2906 and PowerDomain 2930U (driver 1.0b8)

They are available for download here. Remember these are beta drivers.

[Update: We can not get the AVA-2906 and PowerDomain 2930U installer to finish. It hangs before going to the last step. However, the driver is placed in the appropriate folder after quitting the installer. Unfortunately, our Power Mac G4 533 DP with a 2930U card still will not sleep after installing the driver, the Sleep command under the Apple menu is grayed out.]
