Apple's PowerSchool Receives Awards

"PowerSchool, Inc. announced that Media & Methods magazine and What's New magazine have selected the PowerSchool student information system as winner of their respective award programs for K-12 education.

"The 2001 Awards Portfolio sponsored by Media & Methods magazine acknowledges technology products or services that generally contribute to excellence in K-12 schools. PowerSchool was evaluated by a team of educators who considered the system's purpose, content, documentation and effectiveness. PowerSchool will be featured in the magazine's May/June 2001 issue.

"What's New magazine's 2001 award program recognizes education products for their relevance to family, consumer and health science educators as well as their effectiveness when used by guidance counselors. PowerSchool was selected for the What's New award because the Web-based system includes communication tools that increase the school-to-home connection and empower guidance counselors with access to student data securely and in real time." Apple recently bought PowerSchool to be a key part of its educational market strategy.
