After snatching victory from the jaws of defeat with a highly favorable settlement in the penalty phase of Microsoft's antitrust trial and a general settlement with consumers groups that will place hundreds of millions of dollars of Microsoft products and services in schools, Neukom will end his 22 years with Microsoft after proving that the software monopoly just can't lose when it comes to legal proceedings.
