From the Dark Side--Windows XP RC1 Released

last Friday according to this News.Com article by Joe Wilcox. Apparently, according to the author contacted by Macs Only!, Friday's initial release was to internal beta testers. We registered and paid $9.95 to get RC1 and RC2 some time ago and have received no notice that it is available nor is it available for download from Microsoft's Windows XP web site. Perhaps the general release will come today. We registered to get a copy so we can compare it with Mac OS X. Aside from looking a bit like Mac OS X, the most controversial aspect of Windows XP is its antipiracy feature that locks each copy to one machine and one machine only. It is due out in final on October 25th.
