Low End Mac's "Best of the Mac Web" Survey--Final Results

are posted here. Last week we carried a note about LEM's survey and asked readers to take some time to go to LEM, one of our favorite Mac sites, and complete the survey. Macs Only! ended up number 33 out of 40 in the number of completed ratings. We also got an average rating of 3.4 which actually ranked us higher in the ratings than the relative number of completed ratings. This indicates, perhaps, that we are a better site than we are known.

In contrast, on SiteLink.Net we are a "Top 20" Mac site (usually #16-18 out of nearly 200 Mac web sites) and a "Top 3" (actually number 2) in the News and Commentary category. SiteLink maintains continuous daily records accumulated over a week, difficult to significantly bias, and we rank well above most of the sites included in LEMs survey. For example, Mac Observer ranked #12 with a score of 3.9 on LEMs survey but ranks a low #78 on SiteLink. We don't know what to make of LEMs results but we thought you might find them as interesting as we did. Many thanks to those who took the time to complete the survey.
