Mac OS X Now Shipping to the Rest of Us

We previously noted that some user group officers received copies on Wednesday. Yesterday, numerous readers reported receiving an email from The Apple Store stating that their copy of Mac OS X shipped yesterday by FedEx some time between 2pm and 3pm PT. Several checked their tracking number but it was not listed yet with FedEx. No worries, this is normal as it takes awhile to show up. Dana Baggett's shipped 8pm last night even though Apple charged his credit card on Saturday. His copy of Mac OS X is coming by FedEx from Middletown, PA, to Maine so it looks like there has been a pre-distribution which would explain the early charge. Macs Only! will post a page dedicated to Mac OS X v10.0 on Saturday.
