Netscape 6.2 and Beyond
From Dana Baggett, "The good news is that there are more improvements on the way. MO! readers who might be curious can see what's going on by visiting MozillaZine from time to time. Mozilla is up to v. 0.95+. The latest Netscape 6 was sourced from Mozilla v.0.94."
"I see occasional carping comments from time to time from Mac users elsewhere - not our readers, of course - that NS 6 and Mozilla aren't sufficient Mac-like. The underlying premise of these browsers is open source code so as to run on virtually any platform. Check out ftp://ftp.mozilla.org to see just how many! There remains the possibility that creative types will write themes for Netscape that will provide more of an Aqua look. But, apparently there is still too much code undergoing change for themes to work well. For example, NS themes other than Classic and Modern written specifically for NS 6.1 won't work on 6.2. The Theme Park indicates new ones will be 'coming soon."
