is available for download. SD works on broadband connections in either Mac OS 8.6 and above or Mac OS X. This shareware utility really works according to our own observations.

[Update] Mac OS X 10.1 Instant Up to Date Kit Availability: As we noted last Saturday 9/30, the Apple Store at Tysons Corner, VA, ran out of kits at around 11 am, an hour after the store opened. We checked back on Sunday 10/7 and the kits were in stock. They were being handed out to those stopping by the store and requesting a copy. If you missed getting a kit last Saturday, check out your local Mac reseller again.

[Updated] Apple's Palo Alto, CA, Store Opened on Saturday: Eugene Chan took a number of photos and a video at the store opening in Steve Jobs home town. What's new? The amount of Apple "brass" in attendance and black rather than white commemorative T-shirts. Here is Apple's official photo gallery. The next store will open at Crossgates in Albany, NY, or Saddle Creek in Germantown, TN, if the sign issue gets resolved any time soon--specific dates have not been released.
