Today is Office v.X Day

Today Microsoft releases the Mac OS X version of its office suite for the Macintosh. According to our contacts at several major retailers, Microsoft had them pull all versions of Microsoft's Office 2001 product on Friday, a bummer for us. Micro Center was having its 22 per cent off sale this weekend so we thought we'd pick up a copy of Office 2001 with the discount and use Microsoft's technology guarantee upgrade to get a free copy of Office v.X--no such luck. The regular price for upgrading from Office 98 is a whopping $299.
