Apple Boosted iBook Line

Yesterday, Apple announced upgraded iBooks. Here are the main specs:

- 700 MHz and 600 MHz G3 CPUs with 512K of L2 Cache (up from 600/500 MHz and 256K L2 cache)

- 100 MHz system bus for all iBooks (up from a mix of 66/100 MHz)

- ATI Radeon Mobility Graphics with 16 MB VRAM (up from ATI Rage Mobility and 8 MB VRAM)

- VGA, S-video and composite video out in the video port (up from just VGA)

- 20/30 GB hard drives (up from 10/20 GB)

There are 4 models on the Apple Store, CD-ROM and Combo drive models with 12.1" or 14.1" screens for $1199, $1499, $1649 and $1799. Here is the press release.
