From the Dark Side--Hotmail Gets Time Limit
-- TGIF, July 26 --
[Update 7a ET] Mac OS Up-to-Date Program Expanded: The Mac OS X 10.2 $10.95 upgrade door was cracked a little wider with the recent addition of the purchase of a Mac os X 10.1 retail product on or after July 17, 2002. This only makes sense since who would buy 10.1.x now with 10.2 coming out on August 24th. However, this change still does not address those who recently bought a new Mac or a retail version of 10.1 prior to the July 17th announcement. We suggested that the grace period extend back to at least the recent introduction of the latest PowerBook and iBooks. Gene Steinberg, who brought the program change to our attention, suggests the WWDC announcement of Jaguar in early May. Either is reasonable.
