Next Generation Apple CPU from IBM?

Maybe, according to this eWeek article. It is a 64-bit RISC PowerPC CPU, called GigaProcessor Ultralite (GPUL), that doubles the performance of an equivalently-clocked G4. Details may be presented at the October Microprocessor Forum in San Jose, CA, where IBM will give a presentation "Breaking Through Compute Intensive Barriers -- IBM's New 64-bit PowerPC Microprocessor."
