Older iMacs to get 16x CD-RW Drive from MCE.

According to MCE's press release, "MCE Technologies, LLC announced an internal 16x CD-RW drive for all tray-loading iMacs. The iCDRW16 is designed to replace the iMac’s original internal CD-ROM drive. The iCDRW16’s features include compatibility with Apple’s iTunes and Disc Burner CD-recording software as well as Buffer Underrun protection. MCE will begin shipments of the iCDRW16 drive June 24, 2002. The drive carries a one-year warranty and sells for a suggested retail price of $199. A special version of the drive, which includes Roxio’s Toast Lite CD recording software, will be available for $219."
